Every December, the African American Chamber of Commerce of Montgomery County, the Asian American Political Alliance, and the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Montgomery County join forces to host the MLB. The breakfast is a forum to discuss legislative issues that impact minority communities, present our shared legislative priorities, and hear from Federal, State, and Local legislators on how they will address our priorities in the coming year.
We promote social justice, equal opportunity, fair treatment and inclusion for all residents, with sensitivity to the minority community of Montgomery County, MD. We further seek to ensure that everyone’s rights are respected, both in spirit and in practice, and to create a supportive environment for this diverse community.
Grab your coffee cup and join us virtually for the
20th Anniversary of the Minority Legislative Breakfast!
Our 20th Anniversary Minority Legislative Breakfast is going digital to ask our elected officials how they will address issues affecting the Montgomery County minority community during COVID-19 and beyond, including:
- Social Justice
- Economic Recovery
- Affordable Access to Digital Infrastructure
- Housing and Education to Ensure Safety and Improved Opportunities for Communities of Color
Host committee members, the Asian American Political Alliance, the African American Chamber of Commerce of Montgomery County, and the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Montgomery County, will present results from community outreach and issue a call to action. Federal, State and County legislators will weigh in on how they plan to address our legislative priorities over the coming year as we continue to face COVID health concerns and fight for justice, inclusion, and equality.
